THE MORNING SURPRISE

This morning on entering the verandah, I saw a glass bottle with money plant lying down. The water was spilt, spread and pebbles were scattered all around. I looked around and set it back, though I was wondering how it happened. After some time it fell down in the same place but along with a smaller bottle by its side. Again I set it back and, now wanted to know how it happened but got no clue. Next time I heard the bottle fall, I quickly ran to check out what it was…Now there it ran, a strong black fat cat.

I closed all the windows, got back to my daily chores waiting for my sister. I was expecting her to walk in and suddenly I heard her scream loudly. She felt something soft in the shoe rack while pulling out the slippers. With plants all around our house, I was petrified even to check out what it was. My husband peeped in and saw two shiny eyes with a black face, that one’s of a kitten... :) It was relief for me and giggles for them.

Joining the dots, actually the mother cat had put her kitten in the shoe box to protect it and was checking out on its safety every now and then.Everytime it jumped in from the window, it pushed my plant bottles and they fell down..2nd relief..that was a cat for sureJ.Now came my real check..My husband started vacating the shoe rack and was setting it to be a comfy bedroom for the little kitten..I thought its  for an hour or so, the mummy cat will come and take it back,

Morning turned noon, and the cat lover came home from office soon.He now wants milk for the cat at lukewarm temperature.. I was wondering, if the next thing he & my son want to do is naming this cat and also labling the shoe rack as Kitiie’s new home !!!

A few minutes later we saw the mummy cat making rounds and waiting for us to leave her baby alone. We went inside and quietly watched out for sometime. The cat came in walking in a typical lion style, picked up its baby from the box by neck and ran away..may be it doubted its safety in our house.

Mother the ultimate protector.
